Collaboration Project #1 Due NOON< SEPT 8th
Ten ways to explore and understand a building.
Value toward grade is 100 points/1000 points = 10%
Step 1: Identify a team of three classmates. Email the names of the team to your TA by noon Wednesday, Sept. 2nd. IF you submit 2 names, a third person will be assigned to your team. IF you submit only your name, you will be put on a team. IF you submit nothing, you will be but on a team.
Step 2: The team is to select a building in Lubbock to explore and understand using the methods described in the text, “Think Like an Architect”.
Step 3: Each team member is to make their own analysis of the building use the ten ways described by Hal Box in the text. Document the analysis using no more than one page. You may include images, but they must be small.
Step 4: The team is to meet and discuss the building and create a poster that communicates “What makes the building special?”
Step 5: The Poster must be 11 ½” by 17”. The poster may use color. USE Photoshop, resolution no larger than 150 bpi. All layer are to be flattened.
Step 6: Print the Poster at the Print Shop, 9th floor of the Architecture Building.
· The prints cost $2.00 each. You must set up and account in Rm 901. Cash and Checks NOT ACCEPTED.
· Print the poster from the computer lab on the 9th floor. Use the Phaser 7750 printer. You may ask Johnny Busby or the student assistant in the print lab for assistance.
· Place the poster in the box outside of office 1002E in the Architecture Building before noon, Sept. 8th. Make sure all the names are on the back of the poster and the percentage of participation of each member. If everyone participates equally, they would participate 33.3%.
Step 7: Email the individual analysis document (Step 3) to your TA before noon, Sept. 8th.
